I’m obsessed with wooden watercraft, including canoes and row boats.
If you love being out on the waters in the Muskoka, Ontario area, you likely have a preference for one type of watercraft over another. If you like to capture history and feel connected to nature, a custom canoe or row boat is a great option. At Cook Craft, I am passionate about canoes and row boats. There’s nothing I love more than bringing one back to life or resolving a small to medium problem.
One of my favorite things is row boat restoration, especially breathing new life into antique row boats. Of course, I enjoy row boat repair just as much, so whatever condition your row boat might be in or how old it is, I’d love the opportunity to check it out and let you know if it can be restored again. I take pride in historic accuracy with repairing antique row boats so that restorations keep that history alive.
There is nothing more rewarding than taking materials from the forest and transforming them into something beautiful that you can use to explore our natural world. Row boats and canoes captivate that experience far better than any mass-produced watercraft. You could say that I’m obsessed with wooden watercraft. That works in your favour when you need a new canoe or row boat, or you have one that needs to be repaired or fully restored.
If you have questions about my work with row boats or any of the services and custom products that I have to offer, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’m easy to find since I opened up shop in Clarence Bouges’ old canoe shop, which has a 30-year history that I’m working to restore right along with the many canoes and row boats that I do the same for.
